Motor Coach Driver

The Watoto Children's Choir is made up of orphaned children from Uganda who travel the United States for 6 months, performing concerts in churches and schools. 

Watoto is seeking a full-time motor coach driver to drive the Watoto Children's Choir on these tours.

Qualifications:

• A follower of Jesus Christ, with a mature walk and consistent witness, maintaining a courteous and Christ-like attitude and outlook
• Class B CDL with passenger endorsement
• A clean driving record
• Drug, alcohol and tobacco free
• 5+ years experience operating motor coaches
• Ability to be on the road for 6-9 months at a time
• Knowledge of DOT requirements
• Knowledge of motor coach functions and ability to perform minor maintenance

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include but not necessarily be limited to:

• Operate the Watoto Children’s Choir motor coach, getting the choir from event to event safely and on time
• Record off duty, on duty, and driving times on the ELD according to company policy
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and record on the ELD
• Keep the exterior of the coach clean and presentable
• Keep Watoto’s motor coaches in safe operating condition by arranging regular PM services, DOT inspections, and maintenance and repairs as needed
• Stay abreast of all DOT requirements in all states where Watoto motor coaches travel and ensure Watoto is compliant
• Perform minor maintenance work
• Keep all coach and shop supplies stocked – oil, coolant, bulbs, spare parts, etc

Working conditions:

This position will be based out of our home office at 13617 N Florida Ave Tampa, FL 33616 but could spend 6-9 months on the road each year.
