Job Description:

The Worship Arts Pastor creates opportunities and environments for Waterstone church attendees to worship God together in spirit and truth. It is essential that this person embodies a “prepared” passion for team-led worship and exemplifies a commitment to the concept of a healthy local church. This pastoral position needs a team oriented, relational and community outreach minded and self-motivated person who can exhibit personal character that is above reproach in all areas of his life.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for all aspects of musical and technical production for services, i.e., musical worship, video, media, lighting, etc.
  • Lead campus in worship each Sunday
  • Lead volunteers during weekly band/vocal rehearsals
  • Develop, recruit, train and spiritually lead a team of people to execute music for worship services
  • Develop, recruit, train and spiritually lead a team of people to execute media and technology for worship services
  • Develop multi-media elements for campus use
  • Manage social media and website content for the campus (no coding experience necessary)
  • Assist with local campus pastoral responsibilities as needed
  • Assist with basic administrative responsibilities as needed
  • Collaborate with other campus worship leads
  • Report to Lead Pastor

 

Qualifications: 

  • Has a calling on life to serve as a Worship Pastor
  • Agrees with WaterStones’ beliefs
  • Agrees with WaterStones’ Vision Frame
  • Bachelors of Arts required, at minimum
  • Strong leader, capable of leading experienced volunteers
  • 3 years worship leader (or similar) experience
  • Experience leading worship for congregation of 500+
  • Ability to mix sound at a base level
  • General understanding of all aspects of AVL
  • Experience creating media elements, including videos, ProPresentor,  etc.
  • Ability to manage social media and website content
  • Must have a high level of understanding and working knowledge of using professional performance sweeteners and click tracks (i.e. Multi-tracks).    
  • Must have a high level of understanding and working knowledge of using performance and production software (i.e. Ableton, Logic, Protools, etc.)
  • Ability to read and conduct sheet music
  • Musical ability to vocally lead worship
  • Ability to play instrument ideal
